What is your availability?

I work Monday through Thursday. Mondays, I work remotely, only providing telehealth services. I am in the office from Tuesday-Thursday. I have limited evening availability. I am able to provide telehealth anytime during my scheduled hours to accommodate clients' needs.

What do sessions look like?

Prior to the first session, clients are expected to fill out forms through our HIPAA compliant Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. The first session will comprise of reviewing paperwork, additional assessments, exploring what brought you in, and any questions you may have. Subsequent sessions involve rapport building, goal formation, and meeting you where you're at with interventions tailored to your specific needs.

How do I schedule an appointment with you?

Prospective clients are encouraged to reach out via any of the contact methods listed. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation prior to scheduling any appointments, or we can communicate through email if that works better. After establishing if you want to move forward in scheduling an appointment, I will set you up in our EHR system, schedule the appointment and electronically send you the required policies and other forms to fill out, sign, and submit back to me.

What if we are working together and aren't a good match?

Therapy is not "one size fits all." This is your journey and process. I encourage transparency. If we are not a good fit, I welcome that conversation and will do my best to provide you with referrals. Additionally, I encourage clients to advocate for themselves. If something is not working for you, I appreciate communication so we can work together and come up with a solution or game plan to better meet your needs. Therapy is YOUR time & my goal is to ensure all clients are comfortable in the therapy space & have any concerns addressed openly!

Why go to therapy?

There are many different situations that bring people to therapy. People in all walks of life attend therapy to address very specific concerns or receive support. People resonate with different therapeutic approaches and it is important to find someone who meets your needs as therapy may be a vulnerable experience at times. Therapy can be brief, or it can last longer, depending on each individual's circumstances. Therapists are here to support you in any stage of your journey.

What is art therapy?

Art therapy is an evidence-based practice combining the creative process with psychological theory. To ethically practice as an art therapist and say it is art therapy, practitioners must have the appropriate education and training, and hold any of the following credentials: ATR-P, ATR, ATR-BC, ATCS, or be under the supervision of a qualified art therapist.
